Parchmatte is made by Galactic Luddite.

What we collect

Nothing. Parchmatte does not collect, store, transmit, sell or share any personal data. It contains no analytics, advertising, crash reporting or third-party code, and it makes no network connections.

What stays on your Mac

Your preferences (texture, strength, lamp, schedule, excluded apps and similar) are saved in the app's local preferences file on your Mac so they persist between launches. They never leave your device.

To position window covers, Parchmatte asks macOS about on-screen windows. The only window information it reads is each window's position and size, window number, owning process ID, layer and whether it is on screen. It does not read window contents or titles, and it does not record or store this information.

Sunrise and sunset times are estimated from your Mac's time-zone setting. Parchmatte does not request or use your location.

Deleting your data

Deleting Parchmatte removes its preferences. You can also reset them in Terminal with:

defaults delete com.galacticluddite.parchmatte

Third parties

Parchmatte shares no data with anyone, because it has none to share.
